Rivicore recently completed a geotechnical drilling project for a proposed pipeline between Kempton Park and Benoni, conducting 9 boreholes, each to a depth of 6 meters. The borehole sites were spread over a wide area, requiring careful logistics and planning.
Despite the significant distance between drilling points, our team maintained a strong pace, completing two boreholes per day using rotary core drilling. We’re proud to report excellent core recovery across all sites, providing engineers with high-quality samples for accurate soil profiling and design analysis.
Some locations were positioned alongside active roads, requiring traffic accommodation to ensure a safe working environment. These conditions added complexity, but our experienced team handled them with professionalism and efficiency.
We enjoy projects like this—where every position presents new challenges, from access and safety to ground conditions. It’s this variety that drives us to deliver smart, site-specific solutions while keeping to tight timelines.
The Benoni Pipeline project is another example of how Rivicore combines precision, speed, and adaptability to meet the demands of complex drilling jobs.
