Rivicore recently wrapped up a critical geotechnical drilling project for a new pipeline just outside town.
The goal was to provide core samples and soil data needed for pipeline route planning. Our team successfully drilled six boreholes, each up to 5 meters deep, using rotary core drilling methods.
Despite the rural terrain and limited water supply for the drilling process, the team completed the project within four days, showcasing both efficiency and professionalism. Using a reliable rotary core drilling rig, we extracted high-quality samples for laboratory testing, ensuring engineers have the accurate data required for infrastructure design.
Water availability was a challenge, but we planned around it—bringing in water and equipment from town and making the most of every drilling window. We also followed strict site safety protocols and ensured minimal ground disturbance along the proposed pipeline route.
This project reinforces Rivicore’s commitment to delivering fast, reliable, and compliant drilling services, even in logistically challenging environments. We’re proud to support local municipalities in their infrastructure development efforts and look forward to more projects that help build a stronger South Africa.
