Rotary Core Drilling – WITS Eco Centre

Rivicore recently completed a geotechnical drilling project at the WITS Eco Centre in Johannesburg, successfully drilling two boreholes down to 15 meters.
The project was carried out in collaboration with the current contractors on site, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment throughout.

Drilling conditions proved challenging due to large boulders encountered in the upper soil layers. However, once the holes were properly cased, we continued into competent material, achieving 100% core recovery—a result that speaks to the precision and care of our drilling team.

This project demonstrates Rivicore’s ability to adapt to difficult ground conditions while maintaining safety, efficiency, and core quality.
